Model T Ford 1912 Speedster at the Burbank Historical Society Gordon R Howard Museum - Ford did not build Speedsters but they were home-made by removing the original body and building a sporty two-seater with bucket seats. This Speedster was built by Red Runkel of Texas and was purchased at auction by Arnold E. Peterson. Ford was the first manufacturer to put the steering wheel on the left side. All others soon followed. From 1912 to 1924 more than half of all cars sold in the United States were Fords. Donated by Arnold E. Peterson
