Irwindale Speedway - SRL S2 Tour Series Back: Oct 5 2013
Irwindale CA, Sep 4 2013 - Irwindale Speedway officials have just announced the addition of a late-season race for the popular SRL S2 Tour Series cars on Saturday, October 5, 2013.
The S2's are a "spec" series with every machine exactly the same as the others in every specification (engine, tires, size, weight, chassis design and fabrication). The only real differences between them are the paint schemes and the drivers.
The designation: "S2" was originally meant to indicate that these race cars were the next Step after Karts or Legends Cars.
They're great fun to watch and will add a lot of interest to the October 5 NASCAR Home Track show that will be dedicated to the City of Hope and Breast Health Awareness.
The full card for October 5's races will include the Lucas Oil Late Models, Mini Stocks, Legends Cars, Bandoleros, Pick Your Part Skid Plate Cars and the S2's.
