Peach City Beach Cruise 2018

Penticton BC, June 24 2018 - Peach City Beach Cruise - that name has a certain ring to it that surely signals a warm and beautiful event under way. Peach City - that's Penticton, near the bottom of the fruitful Okanagan Valley in British Columbia Canada. Beach Cruise - that's the annual event that draws collector car fans from across the country and the country due south.

Put those two together and you have a great summer automobile gathering of the finest vehicles that can get there for the weekend. A commendable 850 cars showed up for the post-summer solstice weekend for three days of events, now in its 18th year.

Holding out for complete sunshine, Special Car Store didn't arrive until Sunday morning - by that time most of the participants had left for the long ride back home. Downtown Penticton runs along the south end of Lake Okanagan - complete with a sweeping beach with view line of the lake and surrounding foothills.

While cars line the beach for miles, the small motor hotel courtyards that line the shore become motor vehicle havens. Good luck getting a room around here this time of the year! The selection of classic automobiles still lingering was top notch - a great complement to the beautiful location and great occasion. Weather permitting, we'll try to arrive a little earlier next year...
