Recapping time spent at Monterey's Historic Car Week
Mercury News by Bruce Hotchkiss, Sep 10 2013 - From August 12-18 just about everyone on the Monterey Peninsula was complaining about the traffic. That week is Monterey Historic Car Week, a week when the whole world seems to converge on the Monterey area. As Yogi Berra said, "No one goes there anymore. It's too crowded."
Tourism pays the way in Monterey, whether it's golf, auto racing, motorcycle racing, bicycle racing (they race bikes at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca) or Historic Car Week.
